Hydrostatic Level System

The HLM-100 is a liquid level monitoring system developed for accurate and long-term monitoring of settlements in various structures such as buildings, tunnels, bridges, and railways. The basic components of the system include a liquid-filled reservoir tank located at a fixed position and a series of hydrostatic level indicator units hydraulically connected to this tank.

Each indicator unit is equipped with a high-resolution pressure sensor. These sensors monitor the liquid pressure difference in each unit with high accuracy and compare this data with a reference pressure. This application generates precise elevation level data.

To eliminate errors that may arise from barometric pressure differences, each indicator unit is connected to the reservoir tank with a pneumatic tube. Additionally, a reference hydrostatic level indicator unit placed next to the reservoir tank is used to prevent possible errors.

To minimize thermal effects, each unit is equipped with a temperature sensor. The entire system is filled with a mixture of 40% glycol and 60% water, which is air-free and can operate down to -15°C.

Through a datalogger, the HLM-100 collects real-time temperature, settlement, and pressure data and can transfer them to a computer. For any application, it is critical to select sensors with a measurement range that can accommodate expected settlement changes. This ensures that the measurement range remains valid even in long-term monitoring.
